Toni’s Blog: Aka a work in progress
Definition of work in progress: “an unfinished project that is still being added to or developed”.
As the founder of Shelf Help I spend a lot of time ‘working on myself’ these days. Reading, writing, meditating, breathing, moving, dreaming, channelling, sweating, swearing, sharing, talking, floating, feeling…there’s not much I haven’t tried in the last few years in my quest to be my ‘best’ self. Yes, I read and ‘do’ a lot of self-help but I’m still very much a work in progress, and hope I always will be.
If I’m honest, it can be bloody exhausting. But also brilliant. And eye-opening. And sometimes toe-curling. Sometimes this ‘work’ is incredibly awesome. And sometimes it’s incredibly sad. Sometimes it’s hilarious. Often it’s mortifying. Sometimes it’s actually really hard work. Some of the work, um, works. And some of it definitely doesn’t. But I can feel that all of it is moving me forward in some way, and this blog is a way to share my adventures (and misadventures) in self-help in the hope that it might help someone else move forward too.
Thanks for being here.
