THE Shelf Help 2nd BirthdaY PARTY

SUNDAY 27th October 2019 (10am-5pm)

A Retreat = “A place of refuge."
To Party = “To enjoy oneself thoroughly, without restraint.”

Shelf Help is TWO!

And we are celebrating with a happy, healthy and healing day retreat and party featuring self-help and self-care and some very special guests at the uber cool new Huckletree West building in White City.

Join Toni and friends for a fun-filled and uplifting day of book clubbing, workshopping, connecting, dancing and a little bit of meditating, as well as fit and mindful food and drink, and - of course, because this is a birthday party - presents!

It’s the Shelf Help mission to connect people. First, to themselves via inspiring books, ideas and experts. And then, to each other. Because we are learning that self-help is MUCH more powerful when we come together.

And whether you are a meetup regular, or totally new to the Shelf Help family, this will be the perfect place to meet like-minded readers and seekers, as well as trying something new AND spending a day doing something good for yourself.

We’ll start the day with a (mindful) cup of Caro B’s balancing tea, before setting our intentions and then getting down to a Silent Disco with a twist from the Secret Sunrise crew.

Next up: a signature Shelf Help workshop, led by Toni, designed to give you a deeper connection to yourself (as well as your new festival friends) before we stop for a healthy brunch as well as the opportunity to take part in a Dating Empowerment workshop, meet the Love Brother dudes to chat men’s mental health, build a box to take away with FabFitFun (the LA-based lifestyle membership service) and/or browse Book Corner.

In the afternoon author, boxer and sought-after therapist Hazel Gale will deliver an insightful and inspiring workshop about finding our purpose based on her book, The Mind Monster Solution. And then, prepare yourselves for a very special book club with more 2019 BOTM authors, Nadia Narain and Katia Narain -Phillips, who will be reading from their two beautiful titles, Self-Care for the Real World and Rituals for Every Day, as well as sharing some simple but game-changing self-care strategies with the audience.

A guided self-acceptance meditation from Hazel will close activities before we head to the Botanic Lab CBD Dutch Courage Bar for a very happy Happy Hour.
