After 5+ years of hosting and facilitating meetups around the world we've learned a thing or two about running a successful self-help book club. We've also learned what does (and doesn't) work from an organisational and training POV and so - new for 2023 - we've revamped our Hosting process, introducing an annual license fee that includes:

  • Exclusive rights to hold official Shelf Help meetups in your area for 1 year

  • Access to our online training: Hosts Programme (Level 1): training & development materials to support your event planning, promoting and hosting

  • A private group space for your meetup members on the App

  • Permission to use the Shelf Help name, logo and branding

  • Branded downloads, materials and social media assets & templates

  • Online directory entry and continued promotional support from Shelf Help

  • Access to our private Host Mastermind community, including Live self-development events

✨ 6 steps to BECOMing A LICENSED SHELF HELP HOST ✨

  1. Join the (free) Shelf Help Club App (this is a prerequisite).*

  2. Complete the APPLICATION FORM.

  3. If the application is approved you’ll be sent an invitation and link to join us as a local licensed Host (non-successful applicants will be informed in due course).

  4. Join our Host Programme and get instant access to all of our online Host training materials and assets as well as our private Host Mastermind community. We’ll also send you a link to your (private) group Space on the App.

  5. Announce your awesome new role far and wide (with promotional support from us), start hosting and changing lives.

  6. Licence is reviewed and renewed annually (assuming all criteria met).

*NB the Shelf Help Club App is free to join as a basic Shelfie member and joining is a prerequisite for 2 reasons:

  1. BIG PICTURE: We are huge believers in the power of community as a tool for transformation and we want you and your meetup attendees to belong to the larger SHELF HELP whole so that you can be/stay connected to the team and the global Shelf Help community between events.

  2. ADMIN: This is where you’ll purchase your license and find all training, assets and materials, how we communicate with all of our Hosts and makes it easier for you to communicate with your attendees.
